Find a remembered phrase in your message CSV, then read the surrounding records. Keep dates, recipients and source order visible while you review what was actually said.
Free · No signup · One CSV at a time

A search match tells you where the words occur. The record supplies the date and context you still need to review.
From a CSV to useful context
Start with your own message-data download. The reader does not connect to LinkedIn or retrieve messages from your account.
Choose the file and confirm its columns
Open the reader and choose one UTF-8 CSV. Map its message-content column and any optional fields you need, then select Read messages. Review the chosen mappings before relying on the view.
Search the words, then inspect the record
Search every field finds case-insensitive literal text in any field, including columns you did not map. It does not run regular expressions, assess sentiment or decide who is interested.
Read context in the file’s order
When you map a conversation ID, inspect records with the same exact nonempty value. Without that ID, keep reading individual records. Original order, repeated rows and raw date text remain visible; a shared ID does not prove you have the complete conversation.
Check the file you have
One UTF-8 CSV, up to 5 MiB and 10,000 records. Headers must be unique and rows must have a consistent number of columns. Extract the CSV from an archive ZIP before choosing it in the reader.
| Field you map | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Message contentExample: CONTENT | Required. Choose the column containing the message text. Empty content does not erase the rest of a record. |
| Sender and recipientExample: FROM, TO | Optional. Display the cells as supplied. Names and recipient lists are not resolved into verified people. |
| Date and subjectExample: DATE, SUBJECT | Optional. Keep the original date text and subject. The reader does not guess a timezone or sort records chronologically. |
| Conversation ID and titleExample: CONVERSATION ID, CONVERSATION TITLE | Optional. A selected, nonempty ID can show records with that exact value. A shared title alone does not join records. |
| Profile URL fieldsExample: SENDER PROFILE URL, RECIPIENT PROFILE URLS | Optional. Read the original cells without opening profiles or pairing recipient names with URLs. Other columns remain available too. |
These are example header labels, not a guarantee about every LinkedIn export. Confirm your file’s mappings. Further bounds: 64 columns, 400,000 cells and 32,767 UTF-16 units per cell. Malformed or uneven CSV rows must be corrected before reading.
Keep the file in the reader tab
The separate reader processes the CSV in browser memory. It has no analytics, account connection or transcript upload. File contents, file names and search terms stay out of its URLs and are not saved by the reader.
Use Clear file when you finish or before someone else uses the browser. Reloading or closing the reader also discards its loaded data. Your original file remains on your device.
Keep the limits with the result
The reader can only show what your file contains. It cannot restore deleted messages, retrieve missing attachments or establish that an archive covers every exchange.
Recipient lists and profile URLs stay as literal cells. The tool does not identify the account owner, match names to profiles or open links found in messages. A draft flag or a historical message is not evidence of a current relationship.
For the native download steps and the difference between archived and deleted conversations, read the LinkedIn message archive guide.
Carry forward a reviewed note
Verify the person before saving a prospect record. Add useful context manually: what was requested, when it was said and any agreed next step. OutreachGenie’s prospect importer accepts person fields; it does not import this transcript or recreate reply and campaign history.
